Dusit Thani Maldives, located on Mudhdhoo Island within the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll, has unveiled newly refurbished villas, enhancing its reputation as a premier island retreat.

The luxury resort's refreshed villas blend contemporary comfort with the natural beauty of their surroundings, offering guests an elevated experience that maintains the resort's distinctive island character.

The refurbishment spans several accommodation categories, including Beach Residences, Overwater Pool Villas, and Overwater Pavilions. The updated interiors feature a lighter, more contemporary aesthetic, with new furnishings, timber ceiling finishes, and modern lighting. These changes aim to create a brighter and more inviting atmosphere whilst preserving the spacious layouts and relaxed ambience that guests appreciate.

Jean-Louis Ripoche, Area General Manager for Maldives at Dusit International, stated, “Many of our guests return to Dusit Thani Maldives year after year because they value the resort’s natural beauty, generous sense of space, and warm Thai-inspired gracious hospitality. These enhancements allow us to preserve everything guests already love whilst introducing a fresher, more contemporary expression of the resort.”

This villa refurbishment is part of a broader enhancement programme at Dusit Thani Maldives, which includes future updates to dining spaces planned from Q3 2026. The programme aims to continually elevate the guest experience whilst preserving the resort's unique character. Additionally, a refreshed website has been launched to facilitate easier planning and exploration of the resort's offerings.

Dusit Thani Maldives offers a blend of natural beauty, wellness, dining, and curated island experiences, accessible via a short journey from Malé by seaplane or domestic flight and speedboat
