Emerald Cruises has officially welcomed Emerald Kaia, the line’s next‑generation superyacht, following a successful transit of the Red Sea and Suez Canal.

For Scenic Group founder and chairman Glen Moroney, Emerald Kaia’s launch – alongside river ship Emerald Astra’s upcoming inaugural sailing – marks a key milestone as the group celebrates 40 years in travel. As one of the few cruise companies that designs, builds and operates its own vessels, Scenic Group is using Emerald Kaia to set new benchmarks in luxury yacht cruising before sister yachts Emerald Raiya (2027) and Emerald Xara (2028) expand the ocean fleet to five.

Mediterranean Summers & Seychelles Winters

Fresh from sea trials and her repositioning voyage, Emerald Kaia will spend the northern summers of 2026 and 2027 cruising the Adriatic and wider Mediterranean. Guests can choose from eight‑ to 15‑day island‑hopping itineraries between Venice and Dubrovnik, docking close to the heart of historic ports and lesser‑known anchorages along the Croatian and Italian coasts.

When Europe’s season winds down, the yacht heads for the Indian Ocean, sailing in the Seychelles archipelago from December 2026 to March 2027. Voyages range from eight to 20 days and include the best‑selling 16‑day Safari & Seychelles, which pairs yacht cruising around Mahé, La Digue and Praslin with Kenyan wildlife experiences in the Masai Mara, Samburu and Lake Nakuru.
