Etihad Airways has announced a groundbreaking new route to Luxembourg, marking it as the first airline from the Middle East to serve the country. Starting on 29 October 2026, the airline will operate three weekly nonstop flights between Luxembourg and Abu Dhabi, using its state-of-the-art A321LR aircraft. This new service will provide a premium three-class travel experience, including First Suites and lie-flat Business seats.
The introduction of this route caters to the increasing demand from travellers in Luxembourg, the Benelux region, France, and Germany for direct access to Abu Dhabi. The flights will enhance connectivity for both business and leisure travellers, whilst strengthening economic and cultural ties between the European Union and the United Arab Emirates.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, stated, "We are delighted to announce this landmark route, made possible by the launch of the A321LR last year. This incredible aircraft brings our guests a truly premium experience whilst allowing us to cater to markets which may otherwise be unserved."
The new service is strategically timed to serve both business and leisure markets, offering convenient schedules for corporate travel and access to Abu Dhabi's renowned attractions. Travellers will also benefit from seamless onward connections through Abu Dhabi's Zayed International Airport to destinations across Asia and beyond.
With Luxembourg serving as a gateway to neighbouring countries, this route further expands Etihad's presence in Europe. Flights are now available for booking, providing a new direct link between two vibrant regions.
