flydubai has announced the resumption of its direct flights between Dubai International (DXB) and Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) starting 31 July. Initially operating three times a week, the service will expand to daily flights from 25 October 2026, catering to increased demand during the autumn-winter travel season.
The reinstated route re-establishes crucial connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and Hungary, serving leisure, business, and VFR (Visiting Friends & Relatives) travellers. This move highlights flydubai's strategic focus on Central and Eastern Europe, building on its growth since launching flights to Budapest in 2021. Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, stated, “The resumption of our Budapest service reaffirms our long-term investment in Hungary and reflects the strong economic and cultural ties between our two nations.”
The service, part of a codeshare partnership with Emirates, offers seamless travel experiences with single-ticket convenience and baggage through-check. Jeyhun Efendi, Divisional Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, noted, “As we approach the busy autumn-winter travel season, this service creates valuable new commercial and tourism opportunities across both markets.”
Passengers can enjoy flydubai’s modern Boeing 737 fleet, featuring Business Class with lie-flat seats and premium dining, and Economy Class with ergonomically designed seating and a variety of meals. The inflight entertainment system offers hundreds of hours of content.
Flights are available for booking on flydubai’s website and through travel partners, with return fares from Dubai starting at $4,243 (AED 15,585) in Business Class and $813 (AED 2,987) in Economy Class
