flydubai has announced the resumption of its operations to Aleppo International Airport, marking the airline's second destination in Syria alongside Damascus.

The new daily non-stop service, set to commence on 20 July 2026, aims to enhance connectivity between Dubai and Syria, catering to high demand from business travellers, visiting friends and relatives, and cargo transport.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, expressed enthusiasm about the resumption, stating, “We are pleased to resume our operations to Aleppo after nearly 14 years of halted operations. The introduction of our daily service to Aleppo marks an important milestone in our network expansion strategy.” This move is part of flydubai's broader strategy to open up previously underserved markets, reinforcing Dubai's position as a major aviation hub.

The service will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, with return Business Class fares starting from $2,178 (AED 8,000) and Economy Class Lite fares from $490 (AED 1,800). The flights are part of the flydubai and Emirates codeshare partnership, offering passengers smoother itineraries and access to an extensive network.

Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai, noted the strong demand for travel on the Damascus route and expects similar interest for Aleppo. “The launch of our new daily service also comes at an ideal time to support increased travel demand during the peak summer period,” he added.

This development not only facilitates direct travel but also strengthens economic, cultural, and familial ties between the UAE and Syria. With Aleppo being a historically significant commercial hub, the resumption of flights is expected to boost regional business and trade
