Glencor Golf Holidays, the UK-based golf tour operator, has launched a new luxury brand in response to the rising demand for high-quality golfing holidays to Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa as well as shorter breaks to the UK and Ireland.
The Luxury Collection brand will appear on hand-picked golf holiday and break offers on Glencor Golf Holidays’ website, with the focus being on excellence in service, accommodation and golf. These offers will be labelled on the website by the new logo, whilst all resorts that form The Luxury Collection will be grouped together to ensure users can view the entire range.
“In 2016 we had an interesting year in golf travel, with the political situations in some countries shifting where many golfers traditionally holidayed, whilst coupling this with the Brexit referendum provided us with the challenge of helping some golfers find the best value for their pound in more up and coming golfing regions,” said Glen Renton, sales director of Glencor Golf Holidays.
“However, what has continued to rise through all of the external factors brought on in 2016 is demand for luxury golf holidays from smaller groups and couples who were still committed to booking a high-quality golfing break. Over the last few years we’ve developed a strong client base of golfers who are looking to play in places like Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Lisbon, and Gran Canaria. This type of golf break differs in its requirements to the weekend away to the Algarve or the Costa Del Sol for the larger groups who are working with a smaller budget but organising a luxury golf holiday is something we feel we are now experienced in and wanted a suitable way to demonstrate this.”
