Grand Pacific Tours unveils new North Island tour

Grand Pacific Tours, the New Zealand coach holiday specialist, has announced its 2027/28 touring season, featuring over 250 guaranteed departure dates. The highlight of the new season is the introduction of the 13-day Best of the North Island tour, offering a comprehensive exploration of the region's iconic destinations and hidden gems.

The new itinerary promises a relaxed pace, allowing travellers to enjoy world-class food, wine, and rich Māori traditions whilst exploring the North Island's spectacular landscapes. Executive General Manager Touring at Journey Beyond, Cesar Pitto, emphasised the tour's focus on meaningful encounters with Māori culture, stating, "It's a chance to truly connect with the heart of Aotearoa."

Key highlights of the Best of the North Island tour include a full-day Waiheke Island experience with winery and olive oil tastings, the Footprints Waipoua experience with local Māori guides, and a three-night stay at the Bay of Islands. Travellers will also enjoy a guided tour of Hamilton Gardens, a visit to Rotorua's Redwoods Forest, and a traditional welcome at Te Pā Tū.

The tour is available in two styles: the Ultimate Small Group Tour, limited to 20 travellers, and the Signature Mid-Size Group Tour, accommodating 32 passengers. Prices start from $9,560 (US$9,560) for the Signature tour and $10,510 (US$10,510) for the Ultimate tour.

Grand Pacific Tours' popular 19-day Rail, Cruise, and Coach itinerary also returns for the new season, offering a blend of scenic rail journeys, cruising, and coach travel across both islands. Departures run from September 2027 to May 2028, ensuring travellers experience New Zealand's most sought-after travel season
