Hard Rock International has launched a new division to support its expansion in Japan.
The new Hard Rock Japan LLC will be headed up by CEO Edward Tracy, who previously led Sands China and the Trump Organization.
Hard Rock already has a strong presence in Japan, having opening its first cafe in the country in 1983. There are now six Hard Rock Cafes currently operating across the country, located in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka and Fukuoka.
And following the recent passing of Japan’s Integrated Resorts Promotion Bill, which allows the development of major casino resorts in the country, the Hard Rock is planning to accelerate its Japanese expansion.
Hard Rock currently operates casino projects in the US, Canada and Mexico, as well as managing hotels in numerous Asian destinations such as Pattaya, Penang, Macau, Bali, Goa and Singapore.
