Munich-based holiday rental company Holidu has announced the integration of the German holiday rental platform bestfewo.de into its network. This move, marking Holidu's 13th transaction under its integration and partnership strategy, aims to expand its host customer base in Germany and technically merge the marketplaces. The integration is part of Holidu's efforts to strengthen its position in an increasingly consolidated European holiday rental market.
Founded in 2008, bestfewo.de is one of Germany's most recognised holiday rental portals. Despite the integration, the brand will continue to operate independently whilst being technically incorporated into Holidu's software system. This will allow hosts to access a comprehensive property management software solution, including direct online bookings, automated payment processing, and data-driven pricing recommendations.
For guests, bestfewo.de will remain a booking platform, with Holidu managing payment processing and overseeing the booking process. The integration will expand the available inventory by several million properties.
The European holiday rental market is experiencing consolidation due to rising regulatory requirements and competition from global platforms. Johannes Siebers, CEO and Co-Founder of Holidu, stated, “Over nearly 20 years, bestfewo has built a strong market position in the German holiday rental market and enjoys high trust among both travellers and hosts.”
Holidu's acquisition strategy includes previous integrations of ferienwohnungen.de and gites.fr in France. The company, which manages nearly 60,000 holiday rentals, has raised over $211 million (€200 million) in capital to support its growth. Dirk Föste, CEO of bestfewo GmbH, commented on the integration, highlighting Holidu's advanced software solutions for hosts
