Holland America Line has given Oosterdam a louder, sharper edge with four new World Stage productions, led by a Rolling Stone collaboration that brings classic rock energy into the cruise experience. For luxury travellers, it is a smart upgrade: polished production value, iconic music, and the kind of evening entertainment that makes a voyage feel more like a private opening night at sea.

The headline act is “Holland America Line and Rolling Stone Present All Access: The Songs That Shaped Us,” a new rock show created with RWS Global and inspired by the success of the Rolling Stone Lounge. It celebrates legends including The Eagles, Janis Joplin, Van Halen, and Fleetwood Mac, pairing powerhouse vocals with choreography and a live band for a full-stage concert feel.

Why it works for luxury travellers

This is the kind of entertainment that suits guests who want sophistication without stuffiness. The production leans on nostalgia, but it is delivered with modern visuals and a premium, theatrical finish that fits Holland America’s more refined cruise style. As a result, the ship’s evening programme feels less like filler and more like part of the holiday itself.

The other new shows add range to the lineup. “Decadence” blends Las Vegas sparkle with New York polish and old-Hollywood glamour, while “Disco Fever” turns the stage into a glittering dance party with songs like “Le Freak,” “It’s Raining Men,” and “I Love the Nightlife.”

Broadway and beyond

The fourth production, “Fosse and Verdon, The Duet That Changed Broadway,” brings a more theatrical mood, drawing on the duo’s iconic choreography and archival audio and video. Created with the Verdon Fosse Legacy, it nods to Broadway classics such as Cabaret, Chicago, and Sweet Charity, giving the ship a genuinely cultured entertainment option for guests who like their nights a little more elevated.

Oosterdam is also the first ship slated for Holland America Evolution, the line’s major guest-experience refresh, with renovations set to debut in December 2027. That means the ship is not only getting new entertainment now, but also heading toward a broader premium reset soon after.

Sailing details

The new shows are already live on Oosterdam, with fall sailings available across the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Greek Isles, Panama Canal, and South America. Sample itineraries include Adriatic Allure: Croatia, Greek Isles & Istanbul, Greece, Italy & French Riviera Collectors’ Voyage, and South America & Antarctica Holiday.

For travellers who care as much about the evening programme as the destinations, this is a notable move. Holland America is clearly betting that luxury cruising in 2026 and beyond should deliver not just fine dining and elegant suites, but real stage-worthy entertainment too.
