Hong Kong Airlines has inaugurated its direct flight service between Hong Kong and Lanzhou, offering travellers enhanced connectivity and supporting the 'Belt and Road' initiative. The inaugural flight took off today, marked by celebratory events at both Hong Kong International Airport and Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport.

Bruce Wang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about the new service, stating, "We are delighted to offer this direct service to Lanzhou. It not only establishes an 'aerial bridge' for Hong Kong and international travellers to explore the vast Northwest region of China, but also actively supports the 'Belt and Road' initiative, further deepening commercial ties and cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and the mainland."

The new Lanzhou route is designed to provide a convenient direct flight experience for both business and leisure travellers, enhancing exchanges between the two regions. This initiative aligns with the Hong Kong SAR Government's Individual Visit Scheme, aiming to attract more Mainland tourists to Hong Kong and facilitate their transit to destinations in Southeast Asia, Australia, and North America. This move is expected to bolster Hong Kong's status as an international aviation hub.

The flight schedule for the Hong Kong to Lanzhou route includes a weekly service on Tuesdays, with flight HX2507 departing Hong Kong at 15:45 and arriving in Lanzhou at 19:10. The return flight, HX2508, departs Lanzhou at 20:10 and arrives in Hong Kong at 23:55. Flight details are subject to change without prior notice
