IHCL expands with 20 hotel signings in Q1 FY2027

Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India's largest hospitality firm, has announced the signing of 20 new hotels in the first quarter of FY2027, expanding its portfolio to 645 hotels. This growth includes an industry-leading pipeline of 263 hotels. Additionally, IHCL opened 11 new hotels during this period, further solidifying its market presence.

The company's expansion strategy focuses on its growth brands, with 17 of the 20 new signings under Gateway, Ginger, and Tree of Life. These signings introduce IHCL to new destinations such as Bharatpur, Trichy, and Sindhudurg, whilst strengthening its presence in established markets like Mumbai, Goa, and Kolkata. "Taj reached a milestone of 150 hotel portfolio with three signings this quarter," said Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President - Real Estate & Development at IHCL.

IHCL's strategic roadmap, Accelerate 2030, aims to achieve a 700-hotel portfolio. Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – Hotel Openings & New Businesses, highlighted the company's international growth with the opening of Taj Hessischer Hof in Frankfurt and Taj Bush Lodge in Greater Kruger, South Africa. The SeleQtions brand expanded with Ayodhayam in Ayodhya and Bandra House in Mumbai, whilst Ginger opened in Hyderabad, Agra, and other key locations.

With a diverse range of brands, including the iconic Taj and the lean luxe Ginger, IHCL continues to offer a blend of Indian hospitality and world-class service across its global portfolio
