The agreement, signed on 23 September 2026 at the Passenger Terminal Expo Asia in Singapore, aims to enhance the airport's infrastructure and passenger experience through knowledge transfer and the upskilling of aviation professionals.

The collaboration leverages Jeddah Airports' local expertise and SJ's global experience in aviation planning and programme delivery. The focus will be on balancing capacity growth, operational resilience, sustainability, and passenger experience at KAIA. The partnership will enhance project delivery through end-to-end programme management, integrated planning, and digital innovation.

Central to the agreement is the development of Jeddah Airports' aviation professionals. This will be achieved through mentorship, structured training in programme controls, engineering, and sustainability, alongside international project exchanges to expose employees to global best practices.

Mazen Johar, CEO of Jeddah Airports, highlighted the importance of the partnership in elevating airport efficiency and operational capabilities. "Extending our partnership with SJ Group represents an important step in the ongoing development journey of KAIA," he stated.
