I am currently seeking a travel consultant, travel agent or reservations consultant to join the UK’s Leading Canadian Tour Operator based in Glasgow. This well-established company have become the UK’s Leading Canadian Specialist Tour Operator and are growing year on year so due to expansion are opening their doors to new travel consultants who are enthusiastic about the industry and have experience delivering sales targets.

As a travel consultant you will be speaking with direct clients over the phone and via email using your knowledge of Canada (gained through a great training programme and educational trips) to create tailor-made holidays. This could include flights, hotels, day trips, even cruises or train travel they are looking for someone who will listen to the client and take on board their requirements to piece together their dream holiday.

This role comes with a basic salary of between £16-£17K with a great commission scheme and OTE of £30K, educational trips to Canada so you can really become an expert and so much more. The office is open between the hours of 8.30am – 9pm during the week with shorter hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Travel Consultant Responsibilities:

• Listening to each clients requirements and be able to put together their dream holiday
• Use your product knowledge and personal experiences to recommend and upsell to enhance their trip
• Build and maintain strong relationships with your clients to build repeat business
• Be able to deliver on personal/company targets by upselling, recommending products suitable

Travel Consultant Requirements:

• Experience working within the travel industry or personal travel to Canada
• Strong selling skills and be able to work towards targets and exceed them
• Understanding of the travel and airline industry
• Be able to communicate with clients over the phone and via email
