French Business Development Executive:

This rapidly growing DMC in the UK and Ireland is looking for an Buisness Develpment Executive to join their expanding team of 55 talented individuals; this role is based in their London. Salary varying on experience for the role, fluency in French is essential.

Business Development Executive – French Team: Key Skills

  • Language skills: Fluency in English and French are essential and a third language would be advantageous.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in a UK and Ireland inbound operator in a group role Proven experience of preparing quotes and operating groups.
  • Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of the UK as a destination. Excellent knowledge of rates and current market prices.
  • Communication: The ability to be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Flexibility: To be able to adapt to every changing situation as well as being open to new ideas and people.
  • Problem solving: You can identify and analyse an existing or potential problem and find suitable solutions for each situation.
  • Teamwork: Be able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Organizational skills: Great attention to detail and speed working under pressure. Ability to work in compliance with deadlines and prioritizing key concrete opportunities first.

Business Development Executive – French Team: Summary of Role:

  • To understand the client needs and to produce suitable and competitive quotes.
  • To build relationships and maintain a great working relationship with your clients.
  • Being pro-active and able to recognize potential key wins and to offer the most suitable products and prices for the specific potential client.

Business Development Executive – French Team: Breakdown of role:

  • To acknowledge and qualify all new requests (via email and phone)
  • To identify the most suitable products for the client in order to create the most effective and competitive offer.
  • To make sure that all offers are sent out in the company standard format and are all entered correctly into the operational System.
  • To ensure that your offer reflects what the client wants without compromising on quality of services and price of the offer.
  • To ensure that all offers are correctly followed up, following the instructions received during the training: first immediately and then within one week after sending the offer, and as per option expiry date given.
  • To constantly update the bookings in the system with all the correct information in order to have a correct overview for yourself and management.
  • To maintain good relationships with all clients and ensure that any promises/deadlines that are made to them are kept.
  • To build relationships with suppliers and ensure that your product knowledge is always kept up to date.
  • To deal with complaints as and when they arise in a professional manner
  • To organize and participate in any familiarization trips that need to take place in order to win or facilitate a booking.

Business Development Executive – French Team: Candidates must also be trained and confident with the operation part as follows:

  • To assume all responsibility for your clients pending and confirmed groups, to book all services required in good time and making sure all details are correct prior to the group/event arrival/start.
  • To build relationships with all suppliers and ensure that you have excellent knowledge of any services that are offered.
  • To negotiate and try to buy under budget where possible, in order to increasing the margin, without compromising on quality.
  • To understand and negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers, in order to match clients’ needs.
  • To send invoices to clients on time and ensure that all payments are made within time guidelines and always prior to the group arrival, except for client that have credit.
  • To liaise with accounts and make sure that term and conditions for payment are respected both by client and from our part towards suppliers, as per agreements.
  • To ensure all your files are kept in an organized manner that enables others to cover for you if the need arises.
  • To prepare and double check rooming lists and vouchers, keeping constantly the System up to date as well as suppliers and clients.
