Head of Logistics and Planning – Leeds/Hybrid – 9-12 Month FTC. A fantastic opportunity to join an award winning travel company where you will be responsible for leading multiple teams that provide the workforce management for overseas staff, deliver new products and services through multiple teams and developing valued suppliers out in resort.

Head of Logistics and Planning Responsibilities

In this varied role, you will require excellent project and stakeholder management skills as you provide leadership to the rostering and workforce management team that schedule the work for all overseas staff. You will also project manage system and process improvements to drive their overall performance.

You will also project manage the relaunch of a new service that takes a passengers luggage from airport check in to their hotel room out in resort which will require pulling together a range of teams internally as well as external suppliers and partners.

Thirdly you will also provide leadership to a small team of account managers that seek to standardise reporting, management and escalations for overseas suppliers.

Due to the varied nature of this role, you will be required to spend part of your working week in the Leeds head office with some flexibility for remote working as well as spending time out in resorts to see how their products are being delivered and where improvements can be made.

Head of Logistics and Planning skills required

• Excellent project and stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of scheduling / rostering / workforce planning
• Experience in the travel and/or aviation industry would be most desirable but other similar sectors where there might be cross over such as logistics or hospitality
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to pull together multiple and varying teams

Head of Planning and Logistics Additional Details

• On offer is a highly competitive salary to be discussed on application plus car allowance
• The role is initially being offered on a 9-12 month contract to cover a maternity leave but other more long term opportunities could arise
• Flexibility around location and in some instances working hours will be required due to the nature of the role with some time spent most weeks in Leeds head office plus some flexibility around remote working as well as the requirement to travel overseas which varies throughout the year but more heavily weighted in the first part of the year in the run up to season starting.
