About the Opportunity
Discova are excited to announce we are looking for an experienced leader to join the Singapore Team. This is a critical role will function at both strategic and operational levels. Operationally, the you will be responsible for all operations activities to make sure we deliver amazing customer services on the ground, handling operational issues and continually improving the ways we operate our products. Strategical you will work with the Regional General Manager to build a high performing team who strives for excellence and are passionate about living our purpose of connecting people to a world of possibilities.
You will be responsible for:
Rolling up your sleeves to execute a full range of operations duties
Continually challenge the current operations process to improve and innovate the ways we operate the services and optimize profits and the speed of internal/external delivery.
Shape a team that agile, collaborative and borderless
Drive the business and team members to success using the vision and business plan as a guide
Be able to make thoughtful decisions in a timely manner, often within tight deadlines.
Making smart business decision that are underpinned by strong business acumen.
Prioritizing activities that are often changing and conflicting using your organizational and analytical skills.
Provide expertise in Crisis Management.
Create an environment where people feel supported, connected, and empowered.
Lead by example in behaviour, attitude, and performance.
About you The Essentials:
A bachelor’s degree or a degree in tourism and hospitality or relevant working experience.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Destination Management tourism operations
2 years’ experience in a leadership role
Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
An understanding and belief in Responsible Tourism.
Well-developed problem-solving skill
Customer centric with commitment to high standards of service delivery
Solid collaboration and communication skill (verbal and written)
High attention to details & strong time/priority management skills
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills across culture
Able to work independently or in a team environment
Flexible rotating roster that may include late nights, weekends and early mornings
Willing to travel on business when required
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
