Responsibilities:
• Development and connectivity of the airline’s distribution channels, e-commerce platforms, and reservations system
• Improvement in existing payment channels and delivery of new payment options
• Overall management of projects concerning Distribution & Payments, and E-commerce
Airline Distribution and e-Commerce Platform Development
• Responsible for the airline’s distribution platforms including the reservation system and e-commerce platforms such as the website and mobile applications.
• Play a key role in the selection, implementation and ongoing optimization of the reservations system solution.
• Manage the ongoing development of the website and other market relevant e-commerce sales channels.
• Closely track the performance of the website and mobile applications and use the output to optimize and improve commercial results.
• Develop distribution channels with new partners over the GDS and APIs in order to broaden the sales network.
• Work with the Ancillary team to implement negotiated partnerships with hotels, tour operator, and car rental and bus companies.
Payment System Development
• Develop and implement new payment options to facilitate conversion and broaden NokScoot’s appeal to consumers.
• Develop the fraud detection and protection tools.
Team Management and Project Management
• Lead the distribution and e-commerce team providing guidance and expertise as well as ensuring that the various projects are prioritized and delivered within deadlines.
• Account management of all partner contracts.
• Prepare and implement written departmental processes and procedures.
• Manage own departmental cost budget ensuring strong ROI.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• Excellent communication skills and experience in working with people at all levels
• Fluent written, spoken and reading capability in English
• At least 6 years’ experience of commercial website/app development and optimization.
• Working knowledge of HTML, web database solutions and understanding of IT infrastructure, PC hardware and software
• Working knowledge of airline distribution (API/GDS), online payments, and related systems
• Project management skills, ensuring that work is produced to agreed deadlines and standards;
