The experience and skills of a Travel Expert is the basis of the success of STA Travel, and for our customers you are the company.  Your primary responsibility is to achieve sales targets and generate revenue through meeting or exceeding customer needs and expectations through promotion of STA Travel preferred products.  Travel Experts are responsible for ensuring that they promote and support the STA Travel company values & behaviours and promote the company culture.

What you’re accountable for?

Business Performance: Deliver Results

  • To sell the complete range of STA Travel inbound products
  • To work to and exceed monthly and annual individual revenue targets as determined by your Store Manager & STA Travel.
  • To maximise revenue generation by selling preferred products wherever possible
  • To follow the sales process for every enquiry
  • To have a general understanding of store sales, revenue and performance objectives
  • To help minimise operating costs, particularly those resulting from ticketing reporting errors and passenger compensation issues

  Business Development: The customer experience

  • To maximise revenue by meeting or exceeding customer needs and expectations and that differentiates STA Travel in the market place
  • To be aware of and to help maintain the store image at all times
  • To assist in the general promotion and events of STA Travel in the local area as determined from time to time by your Store Manager & STA Travel

 Team Development: To recognise, develop and exceed your personal potential within your team & STA Travel

  • To participate in in-house training as required by your Store Manager and the company
  • Following your initial training, to pro-actively develop personal product and systems knowledge and to be aware of changes and developments
  • Coach and assist new travel experts within the team
  • To participate as an individual and as an effective team member towards the overall financial success of your store

 Store Operation:  To ensure all company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to

  • To assist with day-to-day administration duties as determined by your Store Manager.
  • To comply with all store best practice policy (related to the Customer Relations, Product, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Systems and Training departments)
  • Ensure the store is always clean and all appropriate preferred brochures supplier and STA Travel material are on display at all times this includes adhering to the store cleaning roster.
  • To comply with the company dress code at all times whilst representing STA Travel. Our dress code is smart, casual attire and uniform are provided.
