THE JOB
An independent tour operator specialists in luxury holidays are looking to recruit a worldwide luxury travel consultant to join its team. It’s an excellent opportunity if you have proven tailormade travel experience and are looking to further your career by specialising in luxury holidays. Within this tour operator role, you’ll engage with customers over the phone and via email, building rapport, identifying options and tailoring packages suitable to their requirements, cross-selling where necessary and maximising the sales of all ancillary products.

WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
*Literate and numerate with a high level of attention to detail
*Strong written and verbal communication skills including an excellent telephone manner and professional appearance
*Previous experience of working in the travel industry in a tailormade travel role is essential
*Excellent customer service experience
*Experience in arranging and selling worldwide luxury travel itineraries
*Sales focussed to exceed targets and KPI’s
*GDS experience with Sabre would be highly desirable although other GDS would be considered

WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?
In addition to the basic salary, you’ll benefit from a commission structure and travel industry discounts as well as free overseas travel trips. This is a full time, permanent office-based role with working hours of shifts between 8 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday with approximately 1 in 3 Saturdays and out of hours work during peak selling periods. You’ll receive a day off between Monday to Friday if you work a Saturday.
