Kurhotel Skodsborg, Denmark's original spa hotel, is set to launch The Nordisk Race Retreat from 12 to 14 September 2026. This three-day event blends high-intensity Hyrox-style fitness with restorative Nordic wellness practices. The retreat is designed for fitness enthusiasts eager to test their strength, endurance, and overall fitness whilst enjoying traditional Nordic wellness activities.
The retreat will be co-hosted by UK fitness coach Uche Obi and Danish weightlifting coach Sandra Jensen. Participants will engage in bespoke training sessions before competing in a Race Simulation Event. This event features six workout stations interspersed with 1.2 km run blocks, offering a friendly yet competitive atmosphere.
In addition to the race, attendees can experience a range of activities rooted in Nordic wellness principles. These include SaunaGus, a signature aromatherapy sauna experience, and yin yoga sessions on the beach. Guests will also have access to Kurhotel Skodsborg’s award-winning spa, featuring 16 different cooling and warming experiences.
The retreat offers a comprehensive package, including all meals, two nights in a standard double room, and access to all fitness classes. Prices start from $800 (£800) per person, excluding flights and transfers.
