根据老挝新闻社发布的最新数据，老挝于2016年前9个月总共迎来了314万人次旅客，与2015年同期相比减少了10%。
老挝最大客源国泰国贡献的旅客人数下降12%至146万。虽然如此，泰国仍为老挝贡献了约46%的国际旅客人数。
总体看来，来自东盟的旅客人数下降14％，来自非东盟的旅客增长4%。
