As more events are held each year, MICE hotels in Malaysia are a dime a dozen. Despite being Le Méridien’s third location in Malaysia after Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu, Le Méridien Putrajaya is designed to welcome business and lifestyle travellers looking for convenience as well as enriching experiences.
Situated in Malaysia’s gleaming planned city, here are several reasons why Le Méridien Putrajaya is one of the best MICE hotels in Malaysia.
Slightly away from the centre
Le Meridien Putrajaya is 10 minutes away from the nation’s administrative capital, Putrajaya. The Prime Minister’s office and many government departments are located here.
Kuala Lumpur is great but its traffic makes it difficult to move around, so you will welcome the open roads in Putrajaya. Le Méridien Putrajaya is only 30 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and 25 minutes from Kuala Lumpur and offering transportation services.
The hotel is also close to spots like Cyberjaya, Puchong, Sunway and Shah Alam – where many local business clients are based.
A room for every event
It doesn’t matter whether your event is big or small, the hotel has the right function space for you. The hotel boasts 19 meeting rooms with wonderful facilities: from the pillarless Millennium Grand Ballroom for large groups to the Atelier Hall for smaller gatherings.
Le Méridien Putrajaya also offers meeting equipment and services to make event-planning a breeze. The hotel has dedicated planners to help design your event, from function space set-up to technology. Treat and re-energize your meeting participants with delicious event catering, from coffee breaks to banquets. All of the event spaces in our Putrajaya hotel benefit from modern audiovisual technology and Wi-Fi.
Millennium Grand Ballroom
Elevate your event and host it in Le Méridien Putrajaya’s biggest function hall. The pillarless Millennium Grand Ballroom caters up to 900 guests and is accompanied by a generous pre-function area of over 1,200 square meters that will inspire conferences or events.
Whether it is a spectacular wedding or a business conference, Le Méridien Putrajaya offers this beautiful indoor venue with catering options to suit various themes.
Tee off!
Working closely with the premium and professional Palm Garden Golf Club, this MICE hotel in Malaysia offers stay-and-play golf package that is popular among guests who want to tee off without paying the heft membership fee.
Designed by Australian architect Ted Parslow, the 18-hole golf course is situated within the IOI Resort City. The golf course is divided into two sections: Eugenia, comprising the first nine holes deemed easy; and Bismarck, the remaining nine holes that offer more challenge. An average golfer may take up to around four hours to complete the entire course.
Hailed as the top three greens in 2017, golfers find the five-year-old Palm Garden Golf Club a pleasant to play on its well-maintained facilities. Since the course receives around 3,000 rounds per month, the grounds are maintained on a daily basis so that golfers’ experience when playing at the course can be fully optimised. The club also has a two-tier driving range.
Lifestyle mall
Le Méridien Putrajaya is attached to the swanky IOI City Mall that screams convenience and for more dining options apart from the hotel’s two full-fledged dining outlets, Latest Recipe and Le Mei, which offer excellent and distinctive curated fare, with quality service.
It’s a sprawling shopping, lifestyle and entertainment hub with hundreds of shops, a cinema, indoor ice-skating rink, and theme park in Putrajaya. Surrounded by lush greenery and shaded walking paths, the shopping centre also has colourful water fountains and presents a beautiful sunset view. The four-storey megamall, measuring at about 130,064 square metres, consists of 350 local and international retail outlets.
