LOT Polish Airlines has announced a record-breaking year in 2025, with the airline handling 11.7 million passengers, a 9.4% increase from the previous year.

This surge in passengers contributed to a revenue of $2.4 billion (10.2 billion PLN), an operating profit of $99 million (422 million PLN), and a net profit of $82 million (350 million PLN), marking one of the highest financial results in the company's history.

The airline's success is attributed to its strategic expansion and fleet modernisation efforts. In 2025, LOT signed a contract for 40 Airbus A220 aircraft, with options for an additional 44, marking the largest fleet modernisation programme since its inception. The first of these aircraft are expected to join the fleet in 2027, enhancing operational efficiency and passenger experience.

CEO Michał Fijoł stated, "The results for 2025 show that we are capable of combining dynamic growth with financial responsibility." He emphasised the airline's goal to become the region's leading carrier by 2028.

LOT also expanded its network by launching nine new routes and announcing 15 more for 2026, strengthening its presence in Warsaw and regional airports. The airline's efforts were recognised with four stars in the Skytrax international rankings and the title of Best Airline in Eastern Europe.

As LOT continues to implement its 2024-2028 strategy, it plans to further expand its fleet with new Boeing 737 MAX 8s and Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners in 2026, positioning itself as a modern carrier with one of Europe's youngest fleets by the decade's end
