Mastercard has unveiled 'Lifestyle Navigator', an AI-powered travel and lifestyle concierge, in partnership with MakeMyTrip, India's leading online travel platform. This marks the first global deployment of Mastercard's white-label platform, integrating MakeMyTrip's GenAI Trip Planning Assistant, Myra, with Mastercard's AI capabilities. The collaboration seeks to offer personalised travel experiences and a global network of offers, enhancing the planning and booking process for travellers.
The launch comes as India's travel ecosystem is rapidly expanding, with the country projected to lead major Asia Pacific economies, according to Mastercard's Economic Outlook 2026. 'Lifestyle Navigator' aims to provide curated insights from specialists in food, culture, adventure, and retail, offering recommendations tailored to traveller preferences. Rajesh Magow, Co-founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, expressed optimism about the collaboration, stating, “We are very happy to collaborate with Mastercard to power the trip planning experience with Lifestyle Navigator.”
Gautam Aggarwal, President of Mastercard India & South Asia, highlighted the platform's potential to transform travel planning by combining Mastercard's global offers with MakeMyTrip's travel expertise. The AI-driven assistant will be available on the MakeMyTrip platform later this year, offering a seamless, intuitive travel experience. Kaveri Khullar, Senior Vice President at Mastercard, emphasised the platform's role in providing "trusted intelligence" for travel planning.
This initiative represents a significant step in leveraging technology to enhance India's travel landscape, promising more rewarding journeys for travellers
