Mein Schiff Flow delivered as TUI Cruises’ second InTUItion-class ship
TUI Cruises has officially taken delivery of Mein Schiff Flow, the second vessel in its InTUItion class, at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy. The ship was handed over a few days before its first voyage, with the formal christening in the bay off Trieste scheduled for 20 June 2026.

A new benchmark for lower-emission cruising
Mein Schiff Flow is positioned as the next generation of lower-emission cruise technology. Both it and its sister ship, Mein Schiff Relax, will be powered by bio-LNG in summer 2026, with both ships also able to operate with E-LNG in the future. In summer 2026, Mein Schiff Flow will regularly bunker bio-LNG in Barcelona, while Mein Schiff Relax will complete its entire summer season in Northern Europe running on bio-LNG.
The ship is also equipped with improved catalytic converters that reduce nitrogen oxide emissions to Euro 6 standard in port operations, plus a shore power connection for near emission-free operation while at berth. With port time accounting for roughly 40% of operating hours, this means the ship can operate almost entirely emission-free when using renewable energy in port.
Naming ceremony and first voyages
The first official voyage of Mein Schiff Flow will begin in Trieste on 14 June 2026, followed by the christening and christening voyage. After that, the ship will enter regular Mediterranean service from and to Palma, before moving to Northern Europe for the 2026/27 winter season.
At the start of 2027, the route programme will expand to include the Canary Islands and the Caribbean, making Mein Schiff Flow a versatile new addition to TUI Cruises’ global itineraries.
Fleet growth and sustainability strategy
The arrival of Mein Schiff Flow is part of TUI Cruises’ ongoing fleet modernisation and sustainability strategy. The InTUItion class is designed to deliver spacious public areas, innovative interiors and a design that enhances the connection between guests and the sea, while also supporting the line’s long-term goal of reducing emissions.
CEO Wybcke Meier highlighted the strong collaboration between the shipyard, on-board teams and onshore staff, calling the handover a “very special moment” and a key step toward even lower-emission cruise operations. With bio-LNG and E-LNG capability, plus advanced emission-reduction systems, Mein Schiff Flow represents a clear evolution in how modern cruise ships can balance passenger experience with environmental responsibility.
