The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has announced the election of Henry Oh, Chairman of Global Tours Ltd., as its new Chair during the Annual General Meeting held on 12 May in Gyeongju, Korea. Oh, who has been a pivotal figure in Korea's tourism industry, expressed his commitment to enhancing collaboration within the association and fostering industry partnerships. "I am honoured to be elected by members of the PATA Board of Directors to take on this role," Oh stated.

Joining Oh in the leadership team is Ben Montgomery, Corporate Ambassador of Centara Hotels & Resorts, who has been appointed as the new Vice Chair. The AGM also saw the ratification of four new members to the Executive Board: Jackson Pek of Amadeus, Maria Paz Alberto of Ark Travel Express, Siripakorn Cheawsamoot of DASTA, and Shuichi Kameyama of JTB Tourism Research & Consulting. They join Dr Sharzede Salleh Askor, CEO of Sarawak Tourism Board, who continues her tenure on the board.

Henry Oh's leadership at Global Tours Ltd., Korea's first private travel agency, has garnered national and international accolades, including the Korean Government’s ‘20 Million Dollar Award’.
