RateHawk, a B2B booking platform for travel professionals, has launched a car rental service for its partners in the US and Canada, just in time for the summer road trip season. This new feature allows travel advisers to offer a comprehensive travel experience, addressing the increasing demand for flexible transportation options.
Travel agents using RateHawk can now book vehicles from over 400 car rental companies across more than 160 countries. The platform offers a diverse selection of vehicles, including various types and classes, as well as electric cars. A user-friendly interactive map and filtering options assist in finding convenient pick-up locations and the most suitable car class for clients' needs.
Fredrik Bonnalt, Head of Non-Accommodation Supply at Emerging Travel Group, highlighted the growing trend of budget-conscious travellers opting for road trips. "By optimising travel budgets, road trips enable travellers to take more frequent, shorter breaks, such as long weekends and regional excursions," he said.
The car rental market is expected to more than double in size, with North America projected to dominate the sector in 2026, accounting for 40% of the global market share. Popular US destinations for car rentals include Florida, California, and Nevada, known for their diverse landscapes and extensive road networks.
To celebrate the launch, RateHawk is hosting a Lucky Draw for its North American partners. Those who book and pay for car rentals through the platform by 31 August 2026 will be entered to win an Amazon gift card. Winners will be notified by 22 June
