Rich Media Exchange Introduces Unique Visual Content Resource to UK Travel Industry

US-based firm brings its rich media solutions across the pond for the first time, helping agents and suppliers boost look-to-book ratios

Rich Media Exchange (RME) has launched its visual content resource in the UK, giving travel agents and suppliers the ability to create, archive and access thousands of images and videos to drive customer engagement.

UK agencies can now access more than 500,000 high-quality images and 2,000-plus videos of popular destinations around the world for free.

Travel suppliers including airlines, hotels and attractions can leverage RME’s extensive library for a nominal fee, bringing their products and services to life through a marketing solution that capitalises on growing consumer demand for dynamic visual content.

“Online video now accounts for 74% of all online traffic and online shoppers who view demo videos are twice as likely to purchase than non-viewers,” said Kulin Strimbu, President and CEO of US-based Rich Media Exchange.

“Video has been proven to increase click-through rates, improve customer engagement and drive sales. To remain competitive, it is essential the travel industry embraces this trend.”

Recently named a finalist in the Travel Technology Europe (TTE) Disrupt Awards, RME has been providing digital asset management services to the travel industry for the past decade, simplifying the use of rich media to help agents and suppliers drive sales.

RME offers agents an easy-to-navigate portal and a topical search engine, while suppliers can take advantage of a full range of services including content curation, production and distribution, as well as audience measurement.

The company’s UK Sales and Marketing Director, Josephine Bellanca, said distributing video and images via RME promised companies strong return on investment, significantly expanding the shelf life of their brand, product or message.

“Rich Media Exchange provides a one-stop shop for hotels, airlines, restaurants, attractions and other travel-related suppliers who require professional and strategic management for their digital assets,” she explained.

“The UK market has already shown strong interest in RME’s content solutions and production expertise and we expect sales to grow quickly as word spreads about this new marketing solution for the travel and hospitality industry.”
