Megaworld signs agreement with Accor to bring Mercure to the Philippines

Accor expands its presence in the Philippines through an agreement with Megaworld, the country's largest township developer and operator of homegrown hotel brands. The partnership brings Accor’s Mercure brand to the Philippines through the opening of the Mercure Mactan Cebu in the fourth quarter of this year.  This latest signing reflects Accor's commitment to expanding its footprint across established and emerging destinations in Asia, adding 550 keys to the Group's portfolio in the region. Accor chief development officer in Asia Andrew Langdon said: “We are accelerating the growth of our Premium, Midscale & Economy (PM&E) Division with a focused strategy to expand in sought-after destinations across Asia. The Philippines remains a vital market for us, and the signing of Mercure Mactan Cebu is fully aligned with our ambition to meet the growing demand for hotels that serve both leisure and business travellers, driven by the continued rise of bleisure travel. Accor expands Vietnam presence with Mercure Nha Trang

Accor strengthened its footprint in Vietnam with the recent signing of Mercure Nha Trang.  This is Accor’s ninth signing in Vietnam for this year, and a pivotal one as it brings its Mercure brand to the coastal city of Nha Trang. This latest signing  is instrumental in expanding Accor's offerings in the country.  The beachfront hotel is scheduled to open in late 2025. Mercure Sydney named official hotel partner for Sydney Fringe Festival

Organisers of the Sydney Fringe Festival named Mercure Sydney as the official accommodation for the event which returns this September. The hotel also has the honour of hosting one of the key acts for this year’s festival, the renowned Soweto Gospel Choir.
