Splashdown Quaywest set to reopen this Easter Weekend

From Friday 18 April to Monday 21 April, ahead of official summer opening on Saturday 03 May, until Sunday 07 September, Splashdown Quaywest at Goodrington, will kick off the 2025 spring season in style just in time for the Easter Weekend. This unique attraction – nestled right along the scenic English Riviera coastline in South Devon, is looking forward to welcoming families and adrenaline-seekers alike for the new season.

With eight high-energy slides – each with a varying degree of difficulty, as part of its 16 water attractions, Splashdown Quaywest is a must-visit destination for all, with highlights including the Devil’s Drop, the UK’s tallest and fastest flume, and the Screamer, a heart-pounding 60-degree drop.

For younger visitors, the popular Shipwreck Island – a 2024 addition to the waterpark – is an interactive water play zone with tipping buckets, sprays, and slides. And for those looking to unwind, the 20-metre swimming pool and Sun Terraces provide a more relaxed way to soak up the English Riviera’s sunshine.

After making a splash, visitors can refuel at Boarders Café or Captain Lewey’s Snack Shack – all the family’s favourite food, snacks, drinks and ice-cream ready in no time at all, so you don’t miss out on all the flumin’ good fun!

Jackie Richmond, Group Marketing Director for Splashdown, commented: “We’re very excited to welcome visitors back to Splashdown Quaywest for another action-packed season. Our location on the English Riviera makes us a standout destination, perfect for both families and thrill-seekers. As the UK’s largest outdoor waterpark, we offer an experience that’s truly unique, combining high-adrenaline rides with family-friendly attractions in a stunning coastal setting.”

Splashdown Quaywest’s 2025 reopening coincides with the busy Easter holiday period, an important time for the English Riviera’s vibrant tourism scene.

Carolyn Custerson, CEO of the English Riviera BID, added: “Splashdown Quaywest is one of the area’s flagship attractions, and we’re delighted to see it reopening in time for the Easter Weekend. If you’re looking to escape your everyday, the English Riviera offers a fantastic mix of natural beauty, family-friendly activities, and cultural highlights.

“Splashdown Quaywest’s reopening adds even more to our visitor experience. We’re looking forward to another busy season and encourage everyone to make the most of the beautiful scenery and the many attractions the region has to offer.”

In addition to the excitement at Splashdown Quaywest, visitors to Goodrington Sands can enjoy a range of amenities, including a Seaside Award-winning beach with safe swimming conditions, watersport rentals, as well as a nearby park with bumper boats and mini golf.

Whether it’s a stylish seafront hotel, a welcoming B&B, an activity-packed holiday park, or a self-catering retreat, the English Riviera also offers a variety of opportunities to choose the perfect type of accommodation for everyone. Enjoy a luxurious stay at the Mercure Paignton Hotel or take advantage of the fantastic leisure facilities at TLH Leisure Resorts in Torquay. For a more homely experience, Brixham’s delightful cottages and apartments offer breathtaking sea views and access to the finest local cuisine.
