The Tourism Authority of Thailand announced that the enhanced Amazing Thailand app will be available for public download via the App Store and Google Play from 15th March.
The strengthened platform marks a new phase in Thailand’s digital tourism development, delivered in strategic collaboration with Mastercard.
TAT deputy governor for digital, research, and development Kittipong Prapatthong said: “The revamped Amazing Thailand app represents a significant step forward in how we welcome and support visitors to Thailand. By enhancing the end-to-end travel experience through a trusted national platform, we are strengthening Thailand’s competitiveness as a global tourism destination while creating greater opportunity for local communities and businesses.”
A single trusted ecosystem
Building on the existing Amazing Thailand application, the upgraded platform integrates inspiration, planning, on-ground discovery and spending within a single trusted ecosystem.
Developed in alignment with TAT’s Amazing 5 Economy framework, the enhanced app reinforces the broader focus on quality revenue, innovation and sustainable tourism growth.
At the core of the enhancement is an AI-powered chatbot providing real-time assistance, personalised recommendations and, practical guidance throughout a visitor’s stay.
Integrated Mastercard Priceless experiences further elevate engagement by offering curated Thai activities, culinary journeys and exclusive privileges across primary and secondary destinations.
Through close collaboration with Mastercard, TAT combines destination expertise with global digital capabilities and data-driven insights to strengthen traveller confidence and encourage wider participation in the tourism economy.
Drawing on Mastercard’s understanding of travel behaviours, the application guides visitors towards a broader range of accommodation, dining, shopping, experiences and events nationwide.
A perfect app for those travelling in Thailand
In addition to AI assistance and curated experiences, the platform incorporates comprehensive travel-planning tools, enabling users to build personalised itineraries, discover places to stay, eat, shop and explore, and access safety guidance and Value Added Tax (VAT) refund information for seamless end-to-end trip planning.
By directly connecting travellers with destinations, merchants and local communities, the application supports longer stays, broader spending distribution and expanded opportunities for local enterprises and SMEs across Thailand.
