The Barn at Calcot reopened with extra MICE power

Cotswolds-based independent hotel group The Calcot Collection, has announced it has reopened The Barn at Calcot.

The restoration process, which includes new facilities such as the terrace with an al fresco firepit and wood-burning pizza oven, was overseen by The Calcot Collection’s lead interior designer Nicky Farquhar and Cathy Birtles. The Barn has been reinvigorated with colour scheme of emerald green and mustard yellow finished with textured wood, brass fittings and some striking globe pendant chandeliers.

The luxury hotel has 35 bedrooms located in the main house and overlooking the courtyard and gardens and include suites, two-floor duplexes and double rooms. The luxurious Calcot Spa has an indoor pool, treatment rooms, lounge and an outdoor hot tub which overlooks an open wood fire. Calcot’s extensive facilities also include tennis courts, an outdoor pool, children’s playground, creche and complimentary bikes.

Meetings and events

On top of all that, The Barn at Calcot also offers a new selection of MICE facilities, with six meeting and event areas ranging from cosy and intimate to large and spacious, accommodating from 4 to 150 people.

The Hub: Great for meeting and greeting, with a relaxed style and a new bar, ideal for a coffee or a cocktail break.

The Shed: An intimate meeting space that can hold up to 16 people within a warm and informal atmosphere. Open the folded doors and The Shed doubles in size to become The Big Shed, seating up to 26.

The Byre: Next door to the Shed, overlooking the courtyard, ideal for smaller gatherings of up to 16.

The Loft: A grand upstairs space, with capacity for 150 for larger events and 120 for banquets.

The Pit: The Barn’s tented al fresco fireplace featuring cosy sofas around an open fire.
