KANA WAKABAYASHI has been named as the new executive director of the Japan National Tourism Organization’s (JNTO) Sydney office. Ms Wakabayashi moves to Australia from Tokyo, where she worked at the JNTO’s head office. She been promoting Japan as an inbound destination for 15 years.
GREG HARTMANN has become Hilton’s new senior vice president of luxury, lifestyle, resort & corporate development. He joins the hotel group from Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), where he was the managing director for the Hotels & Hospitality Group in North America. He also founded the STR Analytics.
RAKESH NARAYANAN has been named as Sabre Travel Network’s new vice president of supplier commerce for Asia Pacific. He will now lead the commercial activities serving Sabre’s airline customers in the region. Narayanan was previously regional director for Sabre Airline Solutions in Southeast Asia & India.
JULIANDRA NURTJAHJO has been appointed president director of Citilink, the low-cost subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia. He replaces Albert Burhan, who stepped down in late 2016. Nurtjahjo has been working with the national carrier for 15 years, most recently in a senior position with GMF AeroAsia.
SUMINDI PEIRIS has been hired as Hilton’s vice president of global marketing for luxury & lifestyle brands. A marketing professional with more than 20 years of international experience, she joins Hilton following a spell as vice president & global director of Johnnie Walker Reserve in Singapore.
STEFANO RUZZA has become the new general manager of the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island. A Swiss national, he moves to the Maldives from Thailand, where he served as GM of the Conrad Koh Samui, and prior to this he managed the Hilton Namhae Golf & Spa Resort in South Korea.
DIDIT INDRA PURNAWARMAN has been appointed general manager of the Bali Dynasty Resort. He brings more than 27 years’ experience to the resort, the last 16 of which have been spent at the Bali Dynasty. He served as executive assistant manager before being promoted to resort manager in 2014.
