The Lux Collective, a global luxury hospitality group, has launched an innovative leadership development programme using AI-powered business simulations. This initiative, a first in the luxury hospitality sector, employs CELEMI Enterprise(tm) to enhance business acumen among its leaders. The programme, customised for luxury hospitality, aims to integrate commercial discipline with guest experience, addressing the challenges of rising costs and shifting demand.
The programme, spanning 20 weeks from late 2025, involved 133 senior leaders across eight resort destinations, including Mauritius, Maldives, and Zanzibar. Participants engaged in virtual simulations, making strategic decisions that impacted profitability and brand equity. The simulations, delivered in English and French, mirrored real-world scenarios, allowing leaders to experience the consequences of their decisions in real-time.
Olivier Chavy, CEO of The Lux Collective, emphasised the importance of "owner-level thinking" in maintaining brand equity and profitability. The initiative has not only improved commercial fluency but also identified high-potential leaders, strengthening the leadership pipeline. Smita Modak, Head of Learning and Development, noted the programme's realism, stating it "showed leaders how decisions translate into real-time consequences."
The programme has catalysed a cultural shift within The Lux Collective, aligning creativity with commercial rigour. Nicolas Autrey, Chief of People & Culture, highlighted the development of a shared commercial mindset across the organisation. This initiative positions The Lux Collective as a pioneer in luxury leadership development, blending operational excellence with commercial fluency
