TUI Airline has become the first carrier to implement GO7's innovative airline-controlled connection model, Orchestrated Virtual Interlining (OVI), which allows passengers to combine two flights into a single, seamless journey with through-checked baggage. This partnership, announced on 17 September, aims to eliminate the traditional challenges airlines face with connected journeys, such as the need for passengers to re-check their baggage or invest in complex systems.

The collaboration integrates TUI Airline's existing New Skies passenger service system into GO7's new connection environment without altering the current operational systems. This PSS-agnostic solution includes GO7's ThruBag©, a patent-protected baggage transfer solution, and ConnectProtect™, which offers parametric cash payouts for missed connections.

Peter Glade, Chief Commercial Officer of TUI Airline, expressed confidence in the new model, stating, “Our customers expect seamless, connected journeys, and we expect to stay in control of every experience we put our name to.” Adam Weiss, CEO of GO7, highlighted the significance of this partnership, noting, “This is not a marginal improvement; it marks a shift to connectivity that is led by airlines, built around their customers, and fully under their control.”

The partnership not only enhances TUI Airline's network capabilities but also sets a precedent for the industry by allowing airlines to maintain control over pricing, settlement, and customer relationships. As TUI Airline and GO7 plan to expand their collaboration, this initiative is poised to redefine airline connectivity and passenger experience.
