United Airlines has unveiled the United Relax Row, a new seating option in its economy class that transforms into a couch, offering enhanced comfort for long-haul travellers. Set to launch in 2027, this innovative feature will be available on over 200 Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft by 2030, with up to 12 Relax Row sections per plane.

The Relax Row consists of three seats with adjustable leg rests that fold up to create a lie-flat space, ideal for families, couples, and solo travellers seeking extra comfort. Passengers will enjoy amenities such as a custom-fitted mattress pad, plush blankets, additional pillows, and a children's travel kit, which includes a plush toy.

Andrew Nocella, United's Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, stated, "United is the only North American airline offering a product like the United Relax Row and is one of the many reasons why we're continuing to win brand loyal customers."

This initiative is part of United's broader effort to enhance family travel. The airline already offers free family seating, allowing children under 12 to sit next to an adult in their party at no extra cost. Additionally, United provides kids' meals and family-friendly inflight entertainment, featuring popular shows and movies.

With hubs across major US cities, United Airlines continues to expand its offerings, aiming to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable travel experience for all passengers
