Virgin Atlantic appoints Anthony Uphill as VP Sales

Virgin Atlantic has announced the appointment of Anthony Uphill as Vice President Sales, effective from 5 May 2026. Uphill will oversee the airline's sales performance, focusing on corporate and agency sales, and will collaborate with joint venture partners Delta Air Lines, Air France, and KLM to explore new revenue opportunities with SkyTeam and other partners.

Uphill brings a wealth of experience from the global travel industry, having held senior commercial roles with major international airlines and leadership positions at Amex Global Business Travel and Amex Travel. At Amex Travel, he managed the international airline partner portfolio, driving strategic revenue growth and delivering exclusive benefits for American Express’s premium Card Members.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Uphill stated, “I have long admired Virgin Atlantic and I’m delighted to be taking on this pivotal role at such an exciting time for the business. The airline has a powerful brand, a differentiated premium proposition and strong global partnerships, which together create significant opportunity in the corporate and agency space.”
