World of DMCs is a network of professional destination management companies focused on inbound group and incentive travel to their respective countries.
With offices in the UK and the United Arab Emirates, World of DMCs operates a strict application policy to ensure only reputable DMCs with a proven track record of working with group and incentive travel are admitted, and averages a membership of 35-45 annually. Gaby Seikaly, President & CEO of UAE Member, Gulf Circle Tours, says
“We are delighted that only a couple of our members have ceased trading during the last two years, and that the majority have survived, and renewed their membership for 2022”
In addition to membership renewals, new members have joined from Indonesia and the Philippines, Italy and Germany, and Slovenia, with applications currently under consideration from other destinations.
Caroline Tapken, Executive Director, says
“We have maintained an online presence throughout the pandemic, even though there has been little to no group and incentive travel, and we are delighted that this strategy has paid off in membership renewals, as well as interest from new members in joining the network. Clearly, they see the value of membership of a professional network that has enjoyed an excellent reputation for more than 15 years, and have confidence that business will return – and a desire to be at the forefront of that return to travel. “
World of DMCs traditionally attends two group and incentive focused trade shows in Europe each year – IBTM Barcelona and IMEX Frankfurt, and has in the past also attended The Meetings Show and CONFEX in the UK. Members benefit from subsidised exhibition participation on the World of DMCs stand, whilst those not in a position to attend physically benefit from the increased visibility and contacts the network’s presence offers them.
Members also benefit from a website which offers them dedicated pages for their own information, and online social media presence under the umbrella of World of DMCs to supplement their own marketing activities.
Far from closing their doors during the pandemic of the past two years, many of the World of DMCs members took the opportunity to explore new attractions and venues for upcoming groups, as well as pivoting to domestic offerings whilst borders were closed. Since the summer of 2021, many have seen an increase in requests and group arrivals from non-traditional source markets, with much shorter lead times than generally anticipated from group and incentive travellers. It is credit to the professionalism of World of DMCs members that they have survived the storm, and look forward to a much brighter 2022 and beyond.
Details of all World of DMCs members can be found on www.world-of-dmcs.com and applications for membership from established DMCs in countries not yet represented by the network can be addressed to email@example.com
