A hotel collection created especially for families with young children has started targeting travellers in Asia Pacific.

The Little Guest Hotel Collection, which has 20 properties around the world, has hired Horus Development & Consulting as its sales and marketing representative in Asia, marking its arrival in the region. This comes at a time of significant expansion for the company, as it targets 50 hotels by the end of 2017.

Created by Jerome Stefanski, The Little Guest Hotels Collection brings together high-end hotels that are designed to accommodate “demanding families”.

All member properties have to meet stringent standards to cater to the needs of children under 12 years of age, with facilities including kids’ clubs, baby-sitting, cars with child seats and children’s menus. Member hotels are also obliged to provide, upon request, emergency baby bottles, pacifiers, high chairs, strollers and baby cosmetics.

The concept was inspired by a time when Stefanski stayed at a hotel in the Netherlands that was unable to provide basic services for his young child, such as an emergency bottle.

“The generation of the millennials (20-35 years) is the one who travels the most. A bargain for hoteliers, as this generation travels with their families and, by definition, consumes more than other customers. This family target generates a significant turnover for the hotelier,” the company said.

“However, the latter faces a challenge: finding the right balance so that the family offer does not dissuade other types of clients such as couples or businessmen. Through its dedicated network, The Little Guest Hotels Collection offers hoteliers the opportunity to deliver a targeted message to a privileged clientele,” it added.

The Little Guest Hotels Collection currently features 20 hotels worldwide, the majority of which are located in Europe. The collection has two members in Asia Pacific: The Slate in Phuket and The Farm at Cape Kidnappers in New Zealand.
