Wizz Air confirms new London-Tel Aviv flights

Tel Aviv. Tel Aviv.

Wizz Air has confirmed it will launch flights from London Luton to Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport on 24th June.

Flights will operate four times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, with prices starting from £69.99.

Sharon Ehrlich Bershadsky, director of the UK and Ireland for the Israel Government Tourist Office said: “The announcement of Wizz Air’s new route between Tel Aviv and London Luton highlights the growing demand for travel to Israel. Last year, we were pleased to announce that tourism from the UK to Israel has increased by 10% and this is a great indication that we have the support of Wizz Air to help bolster our efforts within the market.”

In 2013, Israel’s government signed the Open Skies Agreement, which has paved the way for more European carriers to fly to Israel, ultimately lowering the cost of travel to the country.
