IHG Hotels & Resorts recently hosted its fourth annual "IHG Run for Good" event, drawing over 3,000 participants to raise funds for Thailand's visually impaired community. Held at Vachirabenjatas Park in Bangkok, the event also featured sister runs in Phuket, Krabi, and Koh Samui. This year's theme, "See Beyond: Every Step Builds Independence," helped raise THB 1.4 million for the Foundation for the Blind in Thailand under the Royal Patronage of H.M. The Queen.

The funds will support the EyerisVision: EmpowerSight Project, which develops AI Smart Glasses to aid visually impaired individuals in navigating daily life. These glasses, equipped with a camera, microphone, and tactile controls, work with a Thai-language AI application to help users read text and understand their surroundings.

Patrick Both, Director of Operations, Luxury & Lifestyle, Thailand, IHG Hotels & Resorts, stated, "IHG Run for Good demonstrates the power of bringing our people and communities together to create meaningful impact." The event featured three race categories: a 2 KM Walk & Run, 4 KM Fun Run, and 9 KM Run, accommodating participants of all ages and fitness levels.

Supported by sponsors such as Spirit Fitness, MarketBoomer, and Segafredo, the charity run is part of IHG's Giving for Good Month, an initiative encouraging community support through local activities. IHG's ongoing partnership with the Foundation for the Blind aims to enhance accessibility and independence for Thailand's visually impaired community.
