Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has announced that bookings are now open for its latest property, Fairmont New Orleans, which is set to welcome guests from 2 November. This marks the luxury brand's return to New Orleans after a 20-year hiatus. Situated in the Central Business District, the hotel is a short distance from the French Quarter and Caesars Superdome.
The hotel, developed by Kailas Companies, occupies 17 floors of the former Bank of New Orleans building, originally designed in 1970 by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. It features 250 guest rooms and suites, a rooftop pool, and multiple dining venues in collaboration with renowned Chef Emeril Lagasse. The property also boasts a 10,000-square-foot spa and over 19,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Claudia Kozma Kaplan, Chief Brand Officer of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, highlighted the hotel's role in celebrating New Orleans' vibrant culture. "New Orleans, a destination that is world-renowned for its vibrant energy, has an unparalleled passion for jubilant gatherings," she said. The hotel's design, by Rockwell Group, reflects the city's unique blend of built and natural environments.
Eric Overstreet, General Manager of Fairmont New Orleans, expressed excitement about the hotel's opening, stating, "We look forward to welcoming guests to New Orleans' most meaningful new venue."
Further announcements and details will be shared in the coming weeks as the hotel prepares for its grand opening. Bookings can be made through Fairmont's website, with guests able to earn points through Accor's loyalty programme
