Amadeus has introduced two new hotel distribution capabilities aimed at aiding leisure travel sellers in navigating a fragmented market. These capabilities, available through Amadeus Leisure Connect Plus and Amadeus Value Hotels, are powered by a strategic partnership with HyperGuest, a cloud-native company recognised as one of Phocuswire’s Hot 25 Travel Start-Ups.

The new features in Leisure Connect Plus enable sellers to manage and distribute private hotel agreements more efficiently via the Amadeus Travel Platform. This integration allows access to over 150 channel managers through real-time APIs, facilitating faster hotel onboarding and content distribution whilst maintaining control over commercial strategies. This development aligns with the shift towards modern retailing and multi-source models in the leisure hotel sector.

Amadeus Value Hotels, enhanced by HyperGuest connectivity, now includes an additional 15,000 independent properties. This expansion not only increases hotel inventory but also provides richer and more detailed hotel content, aiding travel sellers in personalising and merchandising hotel offers more effectively.

Claire Matanda, Head of Ecommerce & Digital Development at Abbey Group, highlighted the benefits, stating, "Amadeus Leisure Connect Plus provides an elegant solution to distribution cycle fragmentation, enabling us to scale our strategy whilst maintaining control."

Mirja Sickel, Executive Vice President of Hospitality Distribution at Amadeus, emphasised the importance of this partnership, noting that it reflects Amadeus' multi-source hotel distribution strategy and prepares the industry for a future where AI plays a significant role in travel product discovery and selection.

These advancements are set to enhance the capabilities of leisure travel sellers, offering them more inventory and personalisation options, whilst allowing hotels to extend their reach.
