Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) and IHG Hotels & Resorts have signed a management agreement to bring the Ruby hotel brand to Thailand and Asia Pacific for the first time. The 184-room hotel will open in the third quarter of 2027 in Bangkok’s Silom–Sathorn central business district (CBD). It will transform the former Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Sathorn.
The partnership aims to strengthen Bangkok’s lifestyle hospitality sector. The hotel will target travellers seeking premium stays with distinctive character, combining local experiences with IHG’s international brand expertise.
The property will feature a “Co-living Lounge” inspired by art and music. The space will include a café and mixologist bar, creating a social hub for travellers, local residents and office workers.
Wallapa Traisorat, CEO and President of AWC, said the opening would mark a new chapter in the company’s long-standing partnership with IHG. She added that the collaboration would bring the first Ruby hotel in Thailand and Asia Pacific to Bangkok’s Sathorn CBD.
Rajit Sukumaran, SVP and Managing Director, East Asia and Pacific at IHG, said the company was pleased to introduce its premium lifestyle brand to one of the region’s key travel markets.
The hotel aims to become part of Sathorn’s cultural and creative scene as the district develops as a destination for business, culture and lifestyle.
