AmaWaterways has revealed its latest innovation, AmaRudi, set to become Europe's largest river cruise ship when it launches on the Danube River in spring 2027.
Named in honour of co-founder Rudi Schreiner, AmaRudi will be the company's second double-width river ship, following the success of AmaMagna.
Designed to accommodate 196 guests across 98 staterooms and suites, AmaRudi promises an unparalleled river cruising experience. The ship will feature multiple dining venues, including the Journey's Restaurant, The Chef's Table, and Rudi's Wine Bar, alongside a Deck Club barbecue on the Sun Deck. Guests will enjoy complimentary beer, soft drinks, and a selection of over 30 wines during meals.
Wellness and recreation are central to AmaRudi's offerings, with a state-of-the-art fitness centre, massage treatment rooms, and a full-sized pickleball court. The ship will also introduce a new entertainment concept, featuring a cinema, karaoke, billiards, and a jukebox, all within a soundproofed social hub.
Sustainability is a key focus, with AmaRudi equipped with advanced Stage V engines, solar panels, and lightweight materials to minimise environmental impact. Catherine Powell, CEO of AmaWaterways, stated, "AmaRudi reflects our confidence in the future of river cruising and our continued commitment to innovation."
AmaRudi will sail popular Danube itineraries, with further details on accommodations and bookings to be announced soon. This launch marks a significant step in AmaWaterways' legacy of redefining river cruising
