Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru (BLR Airport) has launched Gate Z, a pioneering Gen Z-inspired social lounge designed to cater to the evolving expectations of today's travellers. Located next to the 080 International Lounge in Terminal 2, Gate Z aims to redefine the airport lounge experience by blending comfort, culture, and community.
Gate Z is crafted to resonate with a mindset rather than a specific age group, embodying values of authenticity, ease, and sustainability. The lounge features fluid pathways, social-first zones, and intuitive layouts that balance interaction and solitude. It includes amenities such as Bubble & Brew café-bar, The Sipping Lounge, Subway Diner, and The Amphizone, each designed to enhance the traveller's experience.
The lounge's name, Gate Z, was selected through a nationwide contest, inviting young creatives across India to contribute to the space's identity. This initiative underscores the lounge's commitment to inclusivity and co-creation.
