Bob W, the tech-powered hospitality operator, has signed a long-term lease for a 119-unit flagship property in Munich's city centre, set to open in May 2026. This move marks a significant expansion in Germany, following several recent deals across the country.
Located at Schwanthalerstraße 61, the property offers 119 design-led serviced flats, including studios and one-bedroom units, all equipped with kitchenettes. Its prime location is just five minutes from Munich Central Station and the Old Town, and within walking distance of the Oktoberfest grounds.
The acquisition underscores Bob W’s commitment to Germany as a key growth market, with Munich being a focal point. Since early 2025, Bob W has launched four new properties in Bavaria's capital, now operating six in total. The company plans to transition the existing operation into a full Bob W property in phases, ensuring a swift launch with minimal downtime whilst upgrading the guest experience.
Co-founder and CEO of Bob W, Niko Karstikko, highlighted the importance of the Munich market, stating, “Munich is one of Europe’s most competitive hospitality markets, so securing a flagship asset in the city centre is a significant milestone for us.”
The transaction was facilitated by BNP Paribas Real Estate, led by Francesco Mazza, reflecting ongoing interest in flexible, tech-enabled hospitality models. With over 100 assets and 7,000 units across Europe and the UK, Bob W is actively seeking further opportunities in Germany and other European markets, with more announcements anticipated soon
