Nykat Plage opens in Old Antibes

Nykat Plage, a new waterfront destination, has opened in the heart of Old Antibes, just moments from Port Vauban.

This venue combines Mediterranean dining, live music, and the relaxed spirit of the Riviera, offering a unique experience for both locals and tourists. The establishment features a restaurant on the upper level, with a speakeasy-style cocktail bar set to open on the lower floor in September 2026.

The culinary offerings are led by Head Chef Thomas Vado, who brings his experience from W Verbier and Beau-Rivage Palace Lausanne. His menu focuses on seasonal Mediterranean sharing dishes, such as Sea Bass Ceviche with strawberry-guajillo leche de tigre and Kampot Pepper Duck glazed with honey. Award-winning pastry chef Manon Gouin, known for her accolades including the 2024 Lebey Prize for Best Chocolate Dessert, crafts the dessert menu, featuring creations like Warm Chocolate Mousse with a frozen peanut centre.

Designed by architect Steve Baldini, the venue captures the duality of Riviera living with its layered design. The upper floor, inspired by the Mediterranean shoreline, features a spacious terrace and a striking white piano as a focal point. Baldini notes, "The idea was to create a rupture without ever breaking the harmony of the place."

Nykat Plage is now open daily for dinner, with lunch service to follow soon. Reservations can be made on their website. The venue promises a seamless blend of dining and atmosphere, embodying the convivial Mediterranean spirit
