Sun Princess, Princess Cruises’ biggest ship ever, will make her U.S. debut in October 2024, offering ultimate vacations to favourite Caribbean destinations on seven- and 14-day itineraries from Ft Lauderdale. The ship is the first of the line’s new Sphere class and will spend the winter in Port Everglades after a season of Mediterranean and European voyages when she debuts in February 2024.

Sun Princess Caribbean voyages will provide the ideal balance of incredible Caribbean islands and tranquil days at sea for guests to enjoy everything Sun Princess has to offer, including captivating entertainment in state-of-the-art venues, spacious relaxation areas with breathtaking views, and the line’s largest-ever casino. Highlights of the Sun Princess Caribbean season, which goes on sale on 19 April 2023, include:

  • A 5-day Caribbean Getaway that kicks off the season with trips to Amber Cove and Grand Turk.
  • A 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruise, including St. Thomas, includes a late night in San Juan and a visit to our private island resort Princess Cays.
  • A 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruise includes visits to Amber Cove, Grand Turk, and our private island resort, Princess Cays.
  • A 7-day Western Caribbean cruise with Mexico featuring Cozumel, Belize City, and Roatan stops.
  • Combine the 7-day Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries for a 14-day Caribbean East/West adventure.

“We are excited about the expansion of the Princess fleet and know that homeporting Sun Princess in Fort Lauderdale offers a convenient option for guests to explore the most elevated Love Boat experience ever,” said John Padgett, Princess Cruises president. “The warmth, pristine beauty, and crystal-clear waters found throughout the Caribbean form an idyllic backdrop for our iconic new ship and create the perfect setting for Princess guests to enjoy the stunning views and playful adventure magnified on this beautiful, iconic new ship.”

The 175,500-ton, 4,300-guest Sun Princess, which is now under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy, will have a variety of exciting new dining, entertainment, and activity choices, as well as luxurious staterooms and suites in a range of categories.

With the most balconies of any Princess ship, guests may enjoy the Caribbean sunlight and crystal-clear seas from the luxury of their accommodation. The Dome, a transforming entertainment venue inspired by Santorini’s terraces, is an ideal spot for relaxing, and the three-story Horizons Dining Room will have everyone talking.

Sun Princess will also be fitted with the special Princess Medallion, growing the Princess’s leadership position in providing extraordinary personalised experiences typical of small ships while enjoying only the best large ship facilities.

Sun Princess cruises to the Mediterranean, Europe, and the Caribbean for the first time in 2024 are already on sale.
